Innovative Junior Academy Model Overview

Choose the best of both worlds — personalized remote or in-person education designed for 9th & 10th graders to thrive next school year.

🚀Instructional Design:

  • Live Instruction: core subjects will be taught by qualified instructors either in-person or via live video conferencing.

  • Platform-Based Learning: Select courses may be utilize accredited online platforms. These will be facilitated by school staff to ensure student engagement and accountability.

  • Teachers Easily Available: Instructors will serve as academic guides, spiritual mentors, and facilitators of personalized learning pathways. Teacher is easily available for meetings in person or virtually for one on one help.

🌐Hybrid Remote Learning Model

  • Dual Access: Students in Reno area may attend in person or join remotely. Students outside the region will participate fully online (there will be opportunities to travel).

  • Flexible Location: Physical gatherings will occur at rotating venues.

📚Curriculum and Assessment:

  • Standards- Aligned: courses meet both Nevada State and NAD (North American Division of SDA) standards.

  • Innovative Delivery: Project-based learning, interdisciplinary units, and real-world applications are emphasized.

  • Assessment: Students are assessed through a combination of formative feedback, performance tasks, and digital portfolios. Students will also participate in Standardized tests as required by NAD.

✝️Spiritual Integration:

  • Christ-Centered Curriculum. All courses are taught from a Christian worldview, encouraging students to explore academic subjects through the lens of faith.

  • Daily Devotionals

  • Service Learning: Students participate in meaningful community service projects that promote Adventist principles of compassion, stewardship, and global citizenship.

  • Spiritual Mentorship: Teachers and staff provide ongoing spiritual guidance and support, modeling Christ-like character and nurturing students’ faith journeys.
